Here is a sneak peek of the gorgeous new displays inside Little Quilt Store.
We recently removed a wall to open up the shop a little more and now there is a lot more space to play with. Lynette has had fun rearranging and creating new displays.

Have a great weekend!
Whilst we have only been open a few months, anyone who has visited LQS will know that the store is jam packed with goodies. So much so, that we are in the process of expanding already! A wall has come down, painting and patching is under way, and over the next week or so, you will see an exciting new area added. Can’t wait to see what goes in here……
With the shop now running smoothly, and products available through our online store, we have had some time here at LQS to start thinking about classes for 2013.
Classes will be limited to 8 students only, and will be a relaxed, friendly experience… just like sewing with friends! All classes will be for hand sewn projects covering a variety of techniques. So there is bound to be at least one you will want to sign up for!
Details should be available soon, so keep an eye open in the coming weeks for more information.
It’s time for a give away at LQS. During November, if you are one of the first 10 shoppers to spend over $150 in store(Website orders not included) you will receive a copy of the 2013 A Quilters Diary (valued at $19.95) absolutely FREE. This is a great diary with photos of some fabulous quilts and small projects that are sure to inspire you. So call in to see our wide selection of patterns, fabrics and notions.
Have you seen our rulers with the LQS logo? How cute are they? A must have for every quilter…you can buy yours in store or here.
How time passes…Little Quilt Store is nearly 3 months old and the team has settled in well. The street scaping out the front of the store is almost complete and you will find it much easier now to get to the front door! If you are visiting the Sunshine Coast be sure to call in to say hello and have a look at the many fabulous fabrics, patterns and notions we have in stock.
We are also really excited that the new website is up and running for Little Quilt Store. We have been busy loading up most of our products, so that you now have the option of calling in, or buying online.

One of the new items we have in stock is a selection of some great new zips, with cute little Sunbonnet Sue, sewing machine or heart toggles. They add a real whimsical touch to bags and folders.
And with Christmas just 10 weeks away, don’t forget Lynette’s book Stitch it for Christmas, with 7 quirky designs for some great Christmas gifts. The Christmas Fun range of fabric is also available as fat ¼, fat 1/8 bundles and Angel Delights.
We also have Lynette's new range of Christmas products which complement the Christmas Fun fabrics and Stitch it for Christmas book.
We were very excited this week as Lynette’s new Hollyhock Cottage fabrics have arrived in store. The girls were very busy yesterday cutting and folding the fabrics to make some very cute bundles.
‘Hollyhock Cottage’, a little thatched cottage with smoke curling from the chimney is nestled in the garden amongst the flowers and trees… Hugo the dog is playing with a daisy chain while the birds watch from the safety of the wheelbarrow… spring is in the air.
We have a range of patterns that use these beautiful new fabrics...a lovely quilt pattern, a gorgeous pillow pattern and a cute hanging pillow pattern which includes an iron on transfer.
We also have a great range of Dress It Up buttons; there are lots of different themed packs...sewing, cats, birds, Christmas and more and all packs are a bargain at only $3.95!
Sae has been busy this week making some kits for the very sweet Anvil Cottage. The kit includes fabrics for the wallhanging top, pattern and threads. The Kit is $34.95 and we have the frames in store and online as well.
I painted this old cupboard white using Porters milk paint but decided it was rather boring all white so I painted the door recesses a rather nice chocolate (yes its Cadburys brown!)
Emma cut some lovely words out using our laser cutter, we had pre-painted the boards.
So with my trusty hot glue gun in hand I got started on putting the words onto the front of the doors.
Looking good so far...
Next time you drop into the store be sure to look at the finished cupboard.
