Were you wondering where I had got to? The days are flying past, this weekend was Vince's birthday and for those of you who follow me on Facebook you will know that we went to Sydney to catch up with family and to celebrate 'the birthday'.
I had my first Max Brenner experience....and although I wish there was a Max Brenner near me my waistline is glad there is not!
I loved these birdcages hung in Angel Place..
This door down a side lane at The Rocks, Sydney inspired me (I do have a bit of a thing for doors).
Anyhow, we had a great weekend but there was not much time for stitching so I dont have much for show and tell.. so I thought I would share one of my favourite collections. Its started with one and grew and admittedly not all of them are maramlade/jam pots and not all of them are old but I love them just the same.
I cant collect anymore as the wonderful cupboard which is an old pine tie display cupboard from a menswear shop that I brought here to Australia from Guernsey is full. I had narrow glass sheves cut and fitted for the pots to sit on, the cupboard is just deep enough for them and shows them off to perfection plus the dust cant get in!
Oh, yes I have a couple of pie blackbirds, well one of them is a pink cockatoo...
I cant choose a favourite but this one is really sweet with the little donkey...
I hope you have enjoyed a peek at my jam pot collection and that you had a good weekend.
