Yesterday 10 big boxes arrived on the doorstep, filled with my fabrics....Christmas Fun, Happy Halloween and some replacement Secret Garden fabrics....
I based the colouring for the Christmas collection (and used the name) from last years button club quilt. I adore the combination of christmas red with the softer peachy reds, the dirty browns are useful for branches and reindeer and of course you need background creams and dirty christmas greens!
It feels like we cut fabrics all day and now have Angel delight and fat 1/8 bundles, fat quarter bundles are coming soon (if you want you can email emma@lynetteandersondesigns.com.au to reserve a bundle) visit these links to view stores that will have my new fabric and book . Those of you who pre-ordered a signed copy of the book with a fat quarter pack will find them in your mailboxes (depending on where you live) very soon x x
The dresser that features in the new book is proudly in place in the store, we painted the wall behind it a rather nice shade of brown called Snuggle Pie by Dulux, here is the link to see the colour (you need to scroll down the page a bit to find it). The red wall you see it here against is in the studio of my photogrpaher extrodinaire Sandra Faye, it was a wonderful colour and absolutley perfect for my Christmas theme book.
This is Santa's Blessing quilt which is one of my old time favourites and I know that when I am gone my boys will fight over this quilt as we put it on the wall every year. The quilt pictured is a new version of it using the Christmas Fun fabrics and just look how nice it is, if you live in Arkasas, USA you could visit this quilt as its on holiday in a store called Sew Graceful. The girls are offering the quilt as a kit so if your interested send them an email and tell them 'hello' from me :)
Gingerbread men are so cute and this simple quilt is quick to make and would be great a a snuggle rug for the back of any sofa.
It was rather exciting when the man came last week to put the signage on the windows.... I have kept the lovely blue and brown that is from my patterns as I love the combination so much, using my drawings Emma has created a lovely simple logo and as you can see we even have a little flower garden on the bottom of the windows.
I am doing a little stitching tonight and hoping that it will not aggrivate the damaged muscles in my arm x x nite and happy stitching to you all x x
