I was very excited when Kimberly from Fat Quarter shop mentioned that she was making a quilt for their first book 'Simply Fat Quarters' using fabrics from my Hollyhock Cottage fabric collection. Here is the picture from the book of the quilt that has been made using my fabrics, I love it.
The book is nicely presented and is really clever as it gives you fabric requirements and directions to make each of the 10 quilt designs in 4 different sizes.
You can buy Hollyhock Cottage fabrics at my Little Quilt Store which has now got its own little website. Emma has been busy adding products and we have alot still to add :) please keep popping back as we have now got stock of the hard to find Japanese zips and accessories and will be adding them later this week.
This bag is one of my favourite shapes to make and to use and I have done several different designs on this bag shape. I wanted to have a bag that looked great with my denim jeans and these fabrics do look good with denim, when I made 'Robin Cottage' I did the shoulder strap a bit longer than the pattern says because when I am out shopping I like to have both hands free and carry the bag across my body. I used a wonderful vintage button from my collection on the bag, I hate to say it but the button gets admired as much as the bag!
