Remember a few months ago I showed you a sneek peek at a magazine project that I was working on? Well this is the magazine that the project is in, Australian Homespun Vol.13 No.12.
I wanted to stitch a wedding sampler to celebrate my parents wedding anniversary, its hard to believe that they have been married since 1957. I used fabrics from my Hollyhock Cottage collection have had fun adding some inexpensive gold coloured rings that came from a fashion jewellery store.
If you look closely you will see that the brides veil is made from tulle and is flying in the wind, I was trying to capture how my mums veil looked on her wedding day.
Dad however was not wearing a top hat and tails...a bit of artistic license goes a long way!
Following the success of the kit we made for the Reindeer Express tablecloth the girls in the Little Quilt Store have put together a kit using the same fabrics that I did, they have included the tulle, the little piece of wool that you need for the hearts and some Cosmo embroidery threads. If you want just the magazine that the project is in visit here. If its the fabric kit your after then visit here :)
This sweet bundle is an angel delight (sweet sixteenth) of Hollyhock Cottage, I dont know about you but I can never bear to open these sweet bundles they just sit on my shelf looking pretty x
