This eagerly awaited issue of Quilters Companion magazine is in selected quilt stores and newsagents now. The magazine is filled with wonderful prjects and accompanied by a DVD where I show you the how to of lots of different techniques that I use in my work.
Do you remember back in March when I flew to the Wiggles studio in Sydney to film the DVD that comes with this magazine. These were the lovely ladies who did my makeup.
We tweaked the set, so it looked just right.
Then we started doing the sound tests, I think at this point I had gobe to get my lipstick touched up as I had eaten most of it.
Clare Mooney and I each took a deep breath to calm our nerves, someone cracked a silly joke (thanks Mr Camerman) to make us laugh and then we began recording.
I designed and made a sweet tablet cover, which has lots of techniques combined resulting in this eye catching, stylish cover. I take my iPad almost everywhere I go these days and like to know its got a bit of padding for protecting, I hope you like it. The pattern is in the magazine and the DVD is a tutorial for some of the techniques I have used.
One of the other projects in the magazine is this gorgeous star quilt that was designed by my friend Wendy Sheppard. Its made using fabrics from my Starry Night fabric collection which is in stores now.
