Christmas Projects

Look at this amazing stash of goodies that Hanneke from The Netherlands has been busy making. I can see slippers, Christmas Morning pillow (made as a wall hanging), Sweeet Angel pillow, the fabulous racing reindeer table runner from my book 'Stitch It For Christmas' and one of my favourites Snowfriends Bag and purse.

Christmas group shot

This quilt is Snowball Fun...the three giant snowballs each have a different stitchery/applique scene on them and the rest of the quilt is simple charm squares.

This is one of my favourite pictures that we took for the book, how lucky that the photographer happened to have the lovely red wall in her studio.

Early tomorrow morning I am heading to the airport on my way to Houston, Texas for the International Quilt Market where I will be showing all my new goodies and where I have lots of meetings with store owners from around the globe to organise workshops etc...hope I will be coming somewhere near you next year so we can meet x x

They are here...

Whoo hoo, boxes of my new book 'Stitch It For Autumn' arrived yesterday.

The delivery of books coincided with Greta sending me a a picture of the bag she has made from one of the patterns in the book. I love the colours that Greta has used for her bag.

Here I am outside the store in the lovely sunshine (its almost summer here) holding all three in the series of the 'Stitch It For...' books.

Please check your local quilt store to see if they have or can get a copy of my latest book 'Stitch It For Autumn' for you. Or you can order one from my Little Quilt Store here and I will sign it for you.

Farmyard Friends, new quilt...

This is the yellow world of packing boxes that we have lived in for the last week as we packed all the goodies ready to ship to Houston for Market and Festival. Its lovely now the boxes have left here, we can move around in the office again!

Packing boxes

One of my new quilt designs is currently with the long arm quilter who has kindly sent me some 'show and tell' pictures of work in progress This quilt is perfect for children with its lovely farm theme, we have it made up in a blue and a pink colourway using fabrics from my Mending Fences fabric collection which should be in stores very soon.

I cant decide whether I prefer the blue version or the pink version best...

the pigs look happy....

Pink version being quilted

I will take more photos of this quilt design once I get to the US next week to show you but right now I had better get back to all the last moment bits of stitching that I need to do....bye for now

Enjoy Lynette

Ready for the long arm quilter....

Quilters Garden fabrics...coming to a store near you early 2014...meanwhile I get to play with the fabrics now :) I know its not fair but thats the way it is!

Helen Thompson who joined me in a class in the UK is raising funds to send her daugther on a trip of a lifetime next year and is stitching things to sell to raise the money...so I thought how perfect it would be if Helen stitched for me so she has done all the stitcheries for the re-make of 'In Full Bloom'.

As you can see I had a helper while I was joining the quilt together. He does love to help and I love that he keeps his opinions about which fabric to put where to himself which is nice and he tried his hardest to keep his feet and nose 'off' the fabrics!

Its really going to be very pretty and I always think the quilting brings the whole quilt to life.

Its gone to be quilted by Elizabeth Traynor who used to work for me at my old store The Patchwork Angel but who now lives in Victoria, Australia. Liz does the most beautiful long arm quilting and I cant wait to see what she does to this quilt.

Chance to win a pattern...

Here in the studio we are getting all the new patterns ready for quilt market and quilt festival in Houston USA, this means we are frantically printing and packing patterns ready for shipping on Tuesday next week......I wonder if your coming either to the wholesale/trade only show or the retail show? I will be on booth #633 for both shows and hope to meet you there.

Meanwhile I thought it would be nice to offer you the chance to win the pattern for my new 'Farmyard' pincushions and a little bundle of fabrics (5 x 10" squares either blue/green colourway of pinks) from my new Mending Fences fabric collection to make one pincushion with.

For a chance to win a 'Farmyard' pincushion pattern and little fabric bundle, please leave me a message and tell me which farmyard animal is your favourite and why?

Congratulations to Gill, be watching your inbox for my email. Thank you to everyone that left me a comment :)

If you want to buy a pincushion pattern you can do so here but leave me a message too and if your name comes out of the hat we will refund you the money :)

Cute new arrivals...

Lots of lovely new pendants from Julie arrived this morning.

Pendants group

These amazing foundation paper pieced pendants are incredible, I dont know how Julie stitches such small pieces of fabric. Julie's husband then finishes them with glass front and back and I for one have a small collection of them, whenever a new batch arrive I cant resist getting another one!

If you were quick and registered for the Charm club...then your little 3/4" charm will be on its way to you in the post early next week. They are so sweet....if  you missed out on a place for this years charm club I can only say be quick next year :)

Want to go shopping for a pendant for yourself now? Then Click here.

I will have pendants with me at Quilt Festival in Houston later this month, booth #633

Hope to see you soon..
