My Quilty Box...
Thursday, July 28, 2016
I was so happy when I was in the USA for Spring Market back in May to meet these two who are the team behind 'Quilty Box', a wonderful idea where you get a package in the mail every month.
My Quilty Box was a 'limited edition' box filled with Festive things. Festive Fun is my Christmas fabric collection for this year and there are lots of lovely fussy cutting opportunities. Oh.. look whats inside.... :)
The sweet little angel delight bundle (as we call them) contains one 10" square of each print in the collection and has a lovely wooden tag tied to the top which we cut here in Australia in the studio on Lizzie Laser!
Once my design was drawn and ready I visited the lovely team at Valdani Threads to audition a thread colour to use in my project - I loved both the green and the red floss colours shown here but decided my favourite was the red.
One pattern, three different ideas for you and I am sure you could come up with lots of other ideas. These cute stockings finish at approx. 9 1/2" long, an idea size.
As you know we cut and hand paint many of our buttons here in the studio - this jolly Santa is one of the most popular buttons.
For this limited edition of Quilty Box we enlarged him and made him into pin (brooch). I want one, dont you?
I hope that if you signed up and were lucky enough to get my limited edition Quilty Box that you are enjoying the contents x
