My Heart's at Home
by Lynette Anderson Designs
This collection uses sweet soft shades that I have named dust storm pink, celadon green, dark vanilla and iceberg blue.
A tree strong and true, a symbol of something grounded in the earth that will stand the test of time. Scattered around the trees are images of a home, a beloved dog and cat all of which are sprinkled with hexagons, look closely and you will see that even the background spot is not really a spot it's a hexagon!
I have named this collection ‘My Hearts at Home’ which for many of us is a true statement, no matter where I am in the world my heart’s at home with my family.
Rainbow Cottage Book
Lynette has re-made these projects in the new fabric range.
A trip home to Dorset, England last year inspired many of the drawings on which I have based this stitchery book.
Thatched cottages line the country roads of the village where I grew up, their gardens a colourful sprawl, a tribute to the gardeners who lovingly attend them. The simplicity that I remember of my childhood is still part of the village today, the grocery store still its heart where your news is everyone's news and you can buy anything and everything.
Combining stitchery with some traditional simple blocks and some very special hand painted buttons you too can create a simple country feel for your home with one of the gorgeous projects within this book.

Stitched By Me
Originally made in Lynette's 'Summertime Friends' fabric collection…this quilt would look stunning made using 'My Heart's at Home' fabrics.
Each delightful block in this quilt combines applique and stitchery, the raw wood buttons which are cut in our studio add dimension to the quilt. Lynette has used felted wool for the flowers and blanket stitch appliquéd them using two strands of embroidery floss which adds texture. Can you see Hugo waiting outside the quilt shop with his string of embroidered daisies? Mr Bird is perched on top of a little traditional English paper pieced hexagon quilt. This quilt would make a great weekly/monthly workshop project.
Approx. finished size 35.5" x 43.5"
